Was skeptical when I bought these about them working on a smaller wheel and on an e-bike that obtains 20 plus mph speed. What I did do, and HIGHLY RECOMMEND is take your time in mounting them as tight to the wheel rim as possible and then use tie wraps every few inches to secure them further. (I needed to use extra tie wraps not supplied). I also took the battery controller and used the rubber straps to secure it to the spokes AND took several long tie wraps and secured it better. (This was one of the sticking points people mentioned in reviews about the straps breaking or loosening). By adding tie wraps I don’t have to worry they will break and result in disaster for me and the bike.I was also worried about cutting them to fit the shorter/smaller wheel, but this worked fine. I just made sure to cut after a light. I didn’t want to wrap excess throughout the tire like some suggested. I wanted a clean circle around the tire.Pros: Easy to install, being able to cycle through all colors or to stop on one color makes for endless choice and cool effect and you can change color to suit your mood every time your ride or stop the bike.Cons: Felt necessary to secure more than recommended with extra tie wraps, a bit hard to turn off and on when you have to reach through the spokes to find the push button. While securing it extra, it does make it more difficult when batteries need changing, but safety was first for me.Overall, it provides great light for dusk or night riding and great visibility of your bike on the road or trail, and boy do your look and feel cool! Buy them and have fun! All eyes will turn when you ride!
Yes! these are long enough to go completely around a 29" wheel with about 7 extra inches even when routes as close to the rim as I could. I trimmed of the extra and joined the tubing at the coupling. For smaller wheels you will have enough to do a spiral as shown on the instructions I included a pic of.The WheelBrightz Bike Wheel Lights are an excellent product. These are a great way to make your kids more visible at night!The weather proofing on this 2024 version makes it easy to route (wedge) between the spokes to the point that it stays put even before installing the included zip ties.I was surprised that these don't have a flashing mode like many others.I also don't prefer that the battery compartment attaches to the spokes and not to the hub. It is a bit less clean looking. Over all it installs quickly and looks good. A great addition to my 29er unicycle in this case!
Love these lights. Pretty simple and easy to install. They are more time consuming to install on 12in bikes because the tires are so small. But we use them on all our bikes for riding at night when we are camping. The kids love them. They help everyone see the kids at dark riding their bikes. For roughly 25 dollars for the pair, they are definitely worth the price compared to other brands. The lights last a long time on 1 set of batteries and do not require batteries often.
Very difficult to get the battery box fastened to the spokes. I had to use my long zip ties & duct tape. The rubber strap they provided just didn’t fit.
What is your policy on returns?
At Brightz, all sales are final with the exception of mechanical defects. Brightz have a 30 day limited replacement warranty. Please read our Return Policy below for more information. If you did not purchase your Brightz from our website, contact the store or seller you received them from.
Items may be returned within 30 days of receipt for a full refund. They must be returned at the customer’s expense in their original packaging and meet the following conditions:
All sales are final. Original shipping and handling charges are non-refundable. The customer is responsible for return shipping and handling charges on all returned items.
Unless Brightz made an error, return freight is the customer’s responsibility. We will be happy to help you determine which shipping method to use once you have requested your RMA number. We highly recommend insuring the items for their retail value to protect against shipping damage.
Please be sure to carefully follow all return-shipping instructions. If an item is returned to the wrong address, Brightz reserves the right to charge for any additional shipping fees associated with shipping the item to the correct location.
Orders canceled after the item has shipped are subject to all standard return policies. You must accept delivery, obtain an RMA Number and ship the item back to the correct address.
If delivery of an item is refused, return shipping costs are deducted from the issued credit and a 25% restocking fee will apply. Second-Day and Next-Day shipping costs will not be credited if delivery is refused.
Once your return is received, Brightz Ltd. will issue a refund to the credit card or PayPal account used for the purchase. Please allow up to 3 weeks for your credit to be issued.
To receive a full refund, items must be shipped within 14 days from the day the Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) Number. Returns received without a RMA will not be refunded.
All products sold at brightz.com are factory new and are covered by the manufacturer’s 30 day limited replacement warranty. In the event that your merchandise arrives to you in a physically damaged condition due to transit damage, please call Customer Service at 419-517-0049 or email us at support@brightz.com. You must make claims for damage within 3 days of delivery. After this allotted time, we cannot accept responsibility for the claim. We will contact the delivery carrier (UPS or USPS (Parcel Post)) on your behalf and have the merchandise picked up and inspected. Merchandise must be returned in the original shipping carton. Upon receipt of damaged merchandise to our warehouse, a replacement unit of the same model will be shipped to you.
