Give a man a glue gun and he'll do silly stuff like this.

I bought two strands of gold colored lights for the frame of my 1968 Hawthorne, and two white strands for the tires. Most people use the lights and wrap the frame, around and around until they run out of lights to wrap. I did it a little differently. I started with the battery pack and located it in an out of the way location. On this bike, I put the batteries between the rear rack and the rear fender. Instead of wrapping them around the frame, I used a glue gun and tacked it down near (but not on) every light. I think it turned out pretty well, but you can judge for yourself. Picture is attached. This technique makes them a little more durable and also looks damned good.Regarding durability: If you're reasonably careful with your bike and use the kickstand or lean it carefully on something stable, the lights should be durable enough. These lights are NOT enclosed in a clear plastic tube, like the lights from WheelBritz and CosmicBritz. (However, that company didn't carry gold lights, which is why I made this purchase.)I noticed that one reviewer said that the lights just got dimmer and dimmer and dimmer and finally went out. I think this reviewer is getting dimmer also. CHANGE THE BATTERIES. This is the nature of LED lights. Instead of just burning out completely and suddenly (like an incandescent bulb), LED lights just get dimmer and dimmer and then go out. If you find your lights getting dim, just change the batteries.

Was tired of my LEDs breaking on me after I wound then and then unwound them from my bike and I was hoping these would be a little stronger and not break immediately as I was unwinding them from my bike.

No dice. While I was unwinding them as gently as I could try they snapped immediately after one use. Going back to buying the cheapo lights from Amazon - they cost 10% of the amount and the quality is the same.

Easy to Install and Bright

Love, love, love these lights. They are super easy to install, and the colors (I chose rainbow) are so pretty! They show up wonderfully in the dark, and I feel like such a "cool kid" when I'm riding in my neighborhood at night. The batteries are easy to change out as well. The only thing I wish they included is more than one plastic tie-down. On the eve of my 14th birthday, a brake cable came off my handlebars and dropped into my spokes, while I was going down a hill. I flew over the bike and broke my arm*, so I am a little paranoid about things coming off my bike.*after coming home from the hospital, my parents let me open one of my birthday gifts early. It was Billy Joel's album The Stranger. (I'm super old). At least I had Billy Joel to comfort me as I sat there in pain with my cast on. I still love that album, although I the don't care for rest of his music! (Sorry to any BillyJ fans).

A perfect companion to wheelbrights and riding at night

Planning to ride at night? YOU NEED THIS !!! Also you want wheel brightz. Together this is an unbeatable combination for being seen. We were always worried about riding at night, but with these it feels safer than riding in the daylight as you are lit up like a christmas tree. Every singlee time we ride, we get about three people yelling compliments at us. No joke. Some make us stop to take our picture. Also of notice, cars will slow down as they pass you just to see what the heck is on your bike....which is much better than them flyng by.Two notes:These are somewhat delicate. I have had two brightz snap/quit functioning. They have no problem in the rain, but the connections aren't fantastic.Another more minor issue: you have to unscrew four small screws to change the batteries which is annoying.Despite that. These are fantastic and I plan to buy two more. The multicolored are like christmas lights and very bright. the blue only version is the brightest.I have a bike basket and to my delight I found that I could easily string these around the basket which really helped the rear visibility. If you get the brightz and the wheel brightz, I reccomend investing in rechargeable batteries. They last about 10 hours.

Super bright with a lithium ion batteries

Very simple and easy to install. Super bright lights It depends on what you're kind of design you're looking for. Whether you go around your frame or somewhere else. I changed mine about three different times before I liked what I seeing The only thing I would recommend is get yourself some two sided tape because a little rubber strap and the zip tide. They give you this kind of useless. In my opinion, if you had two sided tape you can stick that thing anywhere you want that little box and hide it, which that's what I will be doing

Easy to use

We wrapped these around out year olds bike. He loves the colors and we like the high visibility when it starts to get dark so he can play a little longer. They were not hard to put on like many of the ones you screw on.

Works well, durable enough for a parade

I participated in a Christmas Parade with my Motorcycle. They wanted us to decorate the bikes. I got a couple of these and zip tied them to the case guards on my bike. My Wife did the same with her Spyder. We rode at freeway speeds for an hour to get to the parade. We then attended the event, rode home at freeway speeds, and not a single light failed. We are probably getting more next year.

Disappointed but works

I first saw this at Walmart so I bought it as an impulse and it was a good light at night. They only had one color at the store so I bought this one and it's a totally inferior design. This one is much more difficult to install because of the small screws you have to deal with to change batteries. This cases does NOT seam water-tight at all.The other one has a self closing mechanism that's much better and is lined with a rubber gasket. This one has nothing. This one uses velcro which sucks when wet and breaks down. The other one had a simple tight rubber strap closing that worked better and easier than dealing with 4 tiny screws.Same company for sure just different designs and it's hard to shop and see a difference because there are no model numbers either.Bottom line there is a better version available and this one IS NOT IT.

Love the bike lights!

These lights are awesome! My daughter has green, and I chose purple. When we ride our bikes at night there are so many people yelling at us complimenting us on the lights. I have lost count of how many people have said something about how cool the lights are. I do recommend them for a bike. We bought 1 for each wheel, and one for the frame. Each light has a box that takes 3 double A batteries.

Worked perfectly and looked great on my sons bike.

Good bang for buck

Simple install and design. A few issues I observed: the whole strand is powered by a plastic box that houses AA batteries. While the box isn’t huge, it can be cumbersome to find a fitting place on a bigger application such as a motorcycle where often there are other accessories and mods that have taken up space. Also, the rubber band to secure the box is pretty short, so I ended up needing to use a pair of pliers to pull it hard enough to get it around to the other end.Lastly, the lights and wire are thin, so be sure to leave enough slack in case there’s extra tension via turning your handle bars. All in all, the lights look nice and add festive flare for the holidays

Awesome Product

This is the second one that I've bought.I put it on my son's bike and he loves it. It works well to make him visible to drivers when we ride in the evenings our at night, but to him it makes him feel like his bike is super cool. My son's drum instructor saw them and said he wanted to get some to wrap around his bass guitar. I imagine they could be used on all kinds of things. They were easy to install both times. The battery pack lasts a long time. As a matter of fact, the first one he had for over a year and never changed the batteries. The only thing that kept me from giving it a 5th star was why we ended up buying the second one top begin with. The first one broke after leaning the bike against the edge of the truck bed during transport. The wire that the LEDs are strung along is very thin. This is a tough one though because if it were any thicker, it would be more difficult to install and generally less pliable. Although, had it been thicker, it would have severed the wire so easily. That's why this issue didn't affect my decision on the repurchase.I would recommend this product.

Easy to install

Our second set of these we bought to replace the older ones. These are on a lightweight wire you just wrap around the bike frame. Easy to install. And with a previous set we did find the battery box rubber strap breaks eventually but we just strapped it on with a small bungee after it broke. And if the wire breaks the lights before the break will still work (happened eventually on the previous set). Over time the battery box leaked so we eventually replaced with this new set (the bike sits outside a lot and lights lasted a year or two at least). Nice bright little lights to add visibility to the bike at night.
